Founded during the running boom, when we formed as a breakaway social and road-running club from the more earnest track-oriented clubs, we have grown over the past quarter-century into one of the largest running clubs in South Wales. We compete in road, cross-country, multi-terrain, and track races.
We meet for a training run every Thursday evening at Llandaff Rugby Club, Cardiff, followed (by most of us) with food and drink in the clubhouse. If you’re thinking about joining, this is the place to start. Members of other clubs and prospective members are welcome to join us. And if you want to know if you’re fast enough (or we’re fast enough for you), you can check our race results, where you should be able to find someone whose times compare with yours.
We organise the 210 mile North to South Wales Welsh Castles Relay (June 2008), run (in both senses) the Barry 40, and host a race on the roads of Cardiff for veterans (The Old Father Time 5 mile).
We now have a Triathlon section for those of you into cool shades, all-over wetsuits (yeah!) and other show-off opulence goodies. Can’t run? We welcome “Can’t swim, can’t bike” as well.

There are different photos on this page for every day of the week. They no longer change when you reload the page as I decided that was cheesy. I’ve put up a page of all fourteen Photos on the Home Page.
For the past few years I’ve been building an archive of results from races members have run (and finished). A lot of clubs discard older results, so this site is one the few where you may be able to find records of your earlier performances. I’m only sorry that I didn’t start this sooner, and that it doesn’t go back before 2000.
We’re hosted by Mythic Beasts. I was sorry to learn of the death of founder (and the reason I switched) Chris Lightfoot in February 2007.
